Do you ever wish you were never born?

I love life in general, never have had a reason to complain. I've never been unlucky in life to experience depression or anything like some people go through.
However, sometimes I just wish I didn't exist.
I've never suffered in any way, ever!
I have great friends, great family.
I'd consider myself a lucky lad, but every so often I get struck in this zone, where I just wish I was gone if you know what I mean.
Does everyone feel like this from time to time?

    I'm a winner.

I was the fastest of a million sperm.

All of my ancestors were winners too. The were all their fastest, the all survived into adulthood and procreated and ensured their offspring stayed alive, from my father, to his, all the way back to the sing cell organism.
I am the million x 10 to the nth degree to 1.

    I am something to behold.

No way, you have listed some of the main reasons why I am glad to be alive, if you wish you didn't exist from time to time then I think there is something missing in your life maybe some sort of happiness that you haven't found yet, I'm not sure.

what you're saying is depression, its just you snap out of it, you come out of that 'zone' you are talking about but major depression is when you dont easily and you need help to

    Nice story.

Unfortunately, a lot of those fastest sperm turn out to be assholes that the world would be better off without. Many more just turn out to be insignificant; the world would not be a different place if they were never in it.

Only those rare few fastest sperm will ever actually become people who make the world a better place and leave some sort of impact.

I was kind of talking more about death ideation.
Obviously everyone gets depressed a little from time to time, after alcohol most definitely.
But sometimes I kind of almost fantasize of being dead. I hope it's normal enough, but thinking about it, it seems a little weird.
Good to know I'm not the only one though!

If I'd never been born, I wouldn't be here to wish I'd never been born. If I was dead, I wouldn't even know about it, never mind enjoy it. It's a conundrum, innit? You have to be alive to experience anything at all.

You don't have to be a Buddhist to appreciate the concept of nirvana, as Kurt Cobain did: nothingness, perfection, the end of all things, silence. But I don't think that anyone who achieves it would understand that they had achieved it - so it's not a useful goal for anyone interested in learning from experiences. We just have to make do with what we can use, and have some fun along the way. I think.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

If you were never born, you'd still be stuck in the womb now.
Perhaps the OP meant do you wish you'd never been conceived.

Not that I was never born but sometimes I wish I was born far into the future, think flying cars and teleportation.

Bully??? I am nothing of the sort, I am always sympathetic to the needs of everyone but in this case Teddy (or 'Big T' as I like to call him) needs some tough love!

Nina is a legend, she can 'ride' with the best of them! Cathy Gannon in England is showing all the English lady riders up at the minute also, another legend!

But sometimes I kind of almost fantasize of being dead.

You've fantasied about your After Hours condolences thread haven't you? But then you kinda freaked out and thought: 'How will they know I'm gone sure. What if they never even notice!?!'

So let me set your mind at ease: if you fail to post for two weeks straight, I will start that thread Teddy, don't you worry - I have your back on this
