Achilles tendon treatment

I'm not sure what to do here, so the story goes.... I hurt my foot badly last week so took a trip to a&e. After X-ray I was told all was ok probably torn ligaments, rest for 4 days. I mentioned I couldn't move my toes and was told I would be ok soon!

Fast forward 6 days, still in bits and fed up I took a trip to a physio who told me that 2 bones were dislocated and my Achilles tendon was ruptured. Since visiting I can move toes again ie wriggle but not bend. I am walking with a limp and although better since physio and swelling now gone, I am still in pain.

Any research I do online says that a ruptured tendon is treated with a cast for up to 6 weeks, does anyone know if this us true? I hope not, I have to have good movement for work and should I go back to the a&e or should I just go to a gp?

    Any opinions welcomed.
