Have you completed all of your projects/practicals to the best of your ability? In that case, the only thing to do is sit down and study study study. It's not easy but if you work hard from here to June, nothing is stopping you.

If my home ec practical hadn't gone so awful I would have been faintly hoping myself. Sigh...

I originally wanted to get ten A's, but I didn't really do much work. I would have tried, but I do Woodwork and it is the bane of my life. Project is terrible, so no chance of an A there. I also hate English and have no chance at getting an A there, same with Irish... and possibly French.

So, I'm aiming for 6 A's. I got 5 A's in the Pres so I just need to maintain that and bring Science from a B to an A.

I aimed for ten As the whole time and got 6 As in the JC, 5 in the pres. Needless to say, getting ten is HARD.

I'm aiming for eight. I'm fairly confident of A's in:
English - as long as I look over functional writing and media studies beforehand so as not to get caught out with an awkward question. Examiners seem to like my style, so yay for that.
History - my best subject consistently, unless I get thrown some really dodgy questions, but looking at the past papers I think I would have been able to get an A in all of them, so fingers crossed.
Maths - love love love, everything has clicked in the last while and it's my favourite subject now, only a C part here and there catches me out.
Science - very pleased with my project, and it's up there with my favourite subjects, and the paper itself is pretty easy.
Business - it's just an easy subject, and I love the accounts to bits, except maybe Club Accounts. I mean, 60% of the exam is stuff you know for certain is going to come up, like ledgers, club accounts, final accounts, economics, business documents and then the short questions, and a lot of it is common sense - Business really is a lovely subject.

    I'm hopeful for:
CSPE - I think I did a good project write-up, but apparently they're marked very hard so I'll see. Also I swear, the written paper is getting harder.
Geography - I find it easy, but it's meant to be quite a tricky subject to get an A in, so only time will tell.
French - it's the subject I've been putting the most work into, tbh if I don't get an A I'll be really upset about it, but I'm not overly confident. I can only hope that all the hard work pays off.

    And as for B's:
Home Ec - Practical went worse than I could ever have imagined. It might be achievable with a near-perfect written paper, but that's unlikely seeing as I detest the course in general, minus the stuff that crosses over with biology and the social stuff.
Irish - the exam is just too hard. I think an A is achievable, but I'd want to get very lucky on the day, so I'm just aiming for the B.

I didn't really need to write all that, but I kind of wanted to get it out for myself. Hmmmm, now if I could just pick up a book and study, I've failed since Thursday. :(

Hello, I did my JC last year. I got 10 As in all Higher: Irish, English, Maths, Geography, History, Business, Religion, German, Science and CSPE.
If you have always been a consistent studier 10 As is very achievable if you knuckle down and revise revise revise. You have 60% of CSPE in the bag if you put a huge effort into your project and there is only a small bit of theory to be learned so you can focus on your other nine. Make out a study timetable and predictions for exams based on past paper analysis but do NOT rely on these, only use them as an aid closer to the actual exams. For maths constant practice is needed and study from your exam papers. Your result in Irish is probably out if your hands, it all depends on your fluency and command of the language at the end of the day but that's not to say studying the literature really well might make the difference between a B and an A. In history I actually never studied modern Irish history in the first place and we didn't do social change so for q6 I always did int. relations and the 1st/2nd year question. You'll notice in people in history QA there is a 3 year cycle of archaeologist/ ancient Ireland / ancient Rome. Geography comes naturally to me and is my fav subject so I didn't need to study that too much. For RE learn Judaism and Islam really well and you can use them for world religions Q, celebration of faith Q, sometimes community of faith Q, question of faith Q and morality Q. My teacher always recommended doing the world religions essay question at the end of the paper because here you are in less danger of waffling Christian nonsense and you have loads of keywords ( e.g last year Jewish practices came up, I talked about Shabat synagogue services, Pesach, Sukkot, Shavuot, Hannukah, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, the Kiddush, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Brit Milah etc etc) Just study study study for business, science etc.:D

P.S you CAN improve your mocks. In my mocks I got 6 As, 3 Bs and 1 D

Just out of interest, what subject did you get a D in?

Fair play on getting ten A's.

English, which was strange for me because I felt I did a really got mock paper (got a D) and a not so good Junior Cert (got an A).
English is just one of those subjects...

I got ten As, quite a few years ago now. Teaching now, it's very doable. Great project work and tried and tested answers to the solid questions bulk up your marks.
