    Hi everyone,
New to this but i was hoping you could help me out.I used to cycle when i was younger and was hoping to take it up again. This time i'd like to use a road bike.Does anyone know of any good bike shop/sites in Ireland that sell second hand road bikes as i'm on a tight budget(€100-€200). And what type/size bike should i be looking for as a beginner.I'm 5'7" in height.

Prob want to check out 52/54cm frames, would say you'd be lucky to get anything for that budget though...

You won't get a road bike for that price. You will get a second hand hybrid (flat bars.) Road bikes second-hand start around 300-350 for something passable.

As said above, you won't get much in that price range without a lot of leg work. If you go for second-hand, you might get a decent hybrid for 200. You could get a crappy mountain bike for as cheap as 100 but it will be heavy and more trouble than it's worth.

If you scour the second-hand market you could get lucky though. I got a trek 7210 for €180 a year ago in a second-hand bike shop. That was a steal.
