Israeli Suburu car ad boasts run over of Palestinian kids.

"A new photo advertisement of a Japanese car in Israel has drawn considerable outrage for its implied promotion of running over Palestinian kids.

The commercial advertisement, published by a Subaru dealership in Israel, features the scene photographed last year, when an Israeli settler struck two Palestinian children with his car in the East al-Quds (Jerusalem) neighborhood of Silwan before speeding away, Xinhua reported on Thursday.

"We'll see who can stand against you," reads the Hebrew line to the right corner of the picture".

Whether or not Suburu of Japan was aware of this or not it it is extremely bad taste.

One would expect this car manufacture in particular would be doing its best to promote business in the light of the current situation in Japan. It would be in their own interest to make a formal apology and clear up the matter..

If you look at 0.00 of the video you can see the car has actually turned towards them.

Call me a softy but I don't think a 10 year old kid who is probably only doing what hes seen other kids doing all his life deserves to be mowed down by a car and suffer a real risk of death.

Clearly he hoped they'd move. He skidded to a halt when they didn't.
But lets face it, their clear intent was chicken ,because they hoped to stop the car.
I'm guessing that even you in that situation, would put you foot down too because, you know that getting stopped would not end well for you if you got dragged out of a car by the mob of masked men milling around in the background.

If a gang in balaclavas tried to block the road of a car in Ireland i would imagine the default response is put the foot down and GTFO out of there. Here's the actual clip. If I'm driving down the road and people, whatever their age, are running towards me with rocks, why would I stop or slow down? Also, if you go outside and run at a car while throwing rocks, you may get run over. Another thing - three people are taking photos, one on the right side and two on the left - can anyone say staged media stunt to provoke sympathy?
