sky tv guide banner cbeebies staying on screen!

    Hi all, i recently upgraded to sky plus hd my daughter is a big cbeebies fan the only problem is that when i put cbeebies on for her the sky tv guide keeps appearing up on the screen, press back up it will go for 3 secs but come back on, its leaving screen burn on the tv which is not good, its only on cbeebies no other channel, any one know how to get rid of this? cheers

    This has happened to me a few times with the "other channels" deleting the channel and retuning it normally solves it. Check out Paddy C retune guide at the of the forum for channel freqs.

    You must have saved the channel after 18:59 when it was off air.

    To avoid the banner problem, you have to save channels when they're actually broadcasting - if you want your "Other Channels" to appear in a particular order, you have to save them in stages because the banner problem happens on BBC3 & 4 too if you save them before 19:00 each day.

    I've experienced a bug occurring on the Sky+ HD box as follows: If you press services while the EPG banner is displayed on a regular channel and then select a channel in the "other channels" menu, then the banner will keep coming up on the "other channels" channel no matter how many times you press back up.

    To stop this occurring visit a regular channel, press back up to get rid of the banner, then press services and go to "other channels" to select the new channel. This ensures the banner behaves correctly on the new channel.

    Oh thank god for this thread. Trying to watch the world cup on ITV HD, which you can't record, can't use EPG for, and now this daft banner. Seems a little childish of sky to make it so difficult to watch these channels.

    channel 613 cbbc and cbeebies are clear on sky .
