    Hi All,

I am looking to change an engine in a 1998 Range Rover 2.5 diesel automatic with myself supplying the engine. Does anyone know of a decent mechanic that could do this?. for a reasonable price. Im in south dublin so the nearer the better but would consider anything. Thank you

It would probably be best suited to the 4x4 Forum but I've sent the link to Rovercraft. If ya don't get replies by tomorrow I'll move it over for you :)

if it's a replacement engine, then it's not a modification really, it's a replacement part, same as changing the brake discs or fitting a new door after an accident. certainly not a modification in the same way as putting a v8 in it or preparing it for some sort of mad expedition

After he sees some of Gils (RC) off roaders this may very well turn out as a Modified Car...snorkels and winches all over it :D

snorkels and winches = potential for more fun.

though i wouldn't be going that way with a "modern" rangerover.
