Santa Ponsa is a huge Irish 'up the ra' kind of ****hole.

Magaluf is far nicer but predominantly English so if any of your mates are of the "republican" persuasion it's probably best go for Santa Ponsa.

neither, Mallorca is a kip. go to the Algarve instead, it's much nicer and you'll have much more fun. :)

Albufeira is lovely and there's still plenty of clubs and stuff too for the nightlife but plenty of things to do during the day if you're planning on being conscious during daylight hours at all, the weather is good & the people are a lot nicer than the spanish, not to mention the country is in as much sh1te as ireland financially, so there's bargains to be had. :)

Well none of the group going are big republicans thats for sure. From what I gather is that Santa Ponsa is full of Irish and tbh I would rather get away from all that!
As of recently, I have heard terrible stuff about Magaluf. I've heard that its very anti irish and very rough. The last thing you want on a holiday is to get a belt for wearing a GAA/Irish jersey.
