Martin Reeves, AKA, Krafty Kuts is without a shadow of a doubt the best Breakbeat DJ out there. After winning countless awards and touring the world several times over it's great to see him back on our shores for a club show. His last club show over this side of the water was at least 4 years ago. It goes without saying, he rocked the place. His set at Electric Picnic a few years ago was also legendary. This Brighton resident knows how to work a party. Another Brighton legend, Norman Cook, is known for giving him his first break. His single "Gimme the Funk" found it's way into Fat Boy Slims bag and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history. He went on to release a string of 12's plus some classic re-mixes. Jurassic 5, Eric B, Arthur Baker and most memorably Afrika Bambaataa's "Funky Heroes", which incidentally won best remix award, all got the Krafty treatment. Turning them all into serious party bangers.
In the last few years he released "Freak Show" his debut album, a Fabric Live CD plus an excellent Back to Mine compilation. For the recession friendly price of €12.50, including all booking fees, it really is worth checking out this stalworth of the electronic music scene. He truly knows how to "Rock the Party."
