DEXA body composition scan at UL for 50-70 y.o. men and women

    Just heard about this. They're looking for volunteers. Not sure if you have to be a registered student there. Further info here.

    They'll do a DEXA scan, skin calipers measurement, and electrical impedance test. They'll share all results with you, and talk about them with you too, if you want.

    Seems like a good opportunity to me!

    I'm WELL south of 50, but I managed to volunteer for a study of younger people too. Doing it in around 2 weeks' time. I think it's harder to get accepted for that though.

    i did that about 2 years ago. great thing and didn't take too long. the young wan doin' the testing was an unbelieveable hottie too if i remember correctly.

    I hear ya man, I did the scan back then too. At one stage I was seriously worried about poking her in the eye when she was taking the calliper measurement on my thigh!!!;)

    Managed to convince my father to take part. Apparently they are struggling to recruit enough of a population (in this case, males over 50) for the study.
