going rate all depends on your ability and what you believe it to be worth.

also factor in your insurance costs, equipment depreciation, training, post processing time, post processing software and training.

if you are asking for industry standard rate then you have to consider - are you working in the industry ? or just doing it as a hobby and want to earn money from it.

I know videographers who do this kind of stuff for free, I know videographers who will do it for a few pints, I know videographers who will do it for a couple of thousand per day....

scratch all that ... I re-read your post....you are looking for how much to pay your friend for using their house.... surely thats something you would agree with your friend.... pick a number and agree on it with the friend.

will there be any expected damage to the house or its contents, does the house owner know their home insurance will most likely be void if anyone gets injured or claims they were injured.... do the people making the "small videos for web" have appropriate insurance ?

I know I wouldnt let someone make a "small video for web" in my house (I dont own a home) unless they were properly insured ....commercial insurance.
