Hi, I just got a quote for my renewal of my car insurance and its €850. I'm 30 with 1 year no claims and last year it was €600, no penalty points, same car (€6000). I am also insured on my Mothers car as a named drive for the past 8 years. If I get the quote re-done saying that I have 8 years named driver experience but…

Hi,

I just got a quote for my renewal of my car insurance and its €850. I'm 30 with 1 year no claims and last year it was €600, no penalty points, same car (€6000).

I am also insured on my Mothers car as a named drive for the past 8 years.

If I get the quote re-done saying that I have 8 years named driver experience but don't mention my 1 year own policy no claims the quote drops to €500.

The question is, can I do this? Is it legal?
