There is a yellow box on teh app asking for Acres or hectares.

The letter is just written permission signed and dated.

Not to worry about it Kieran.

They just want an indication that it's not a couple of acres. I had the acreage the year before last, but forgot to get it last year. Think I stuck down "150+ acres" or something like that (It's closer to a thousand, but I didn't know the exact number) and never had a call about it, so I'd say even a rough estimate once it's a decent chunk should be fine.

they rang me about 1 farm they did'nt know there was deer on it, and that just 500 acres, told the NPWS that there was 300 plus acres of barley alone, they said thats fine.. Thanks...

My man gave me a photocopy of his maps so I have all the details.

I write the form, he signs it!
    SIMPLES

I only apply for one permission as the Ranger told me once you are approved you can shoot anywhere you have permissions
    Also SIMPLES :D
And Happy Days for me as sending in 7 or 8 forms would be a serious pain!
So I just send in the biggest farm

They check the folio numbers you send in, so if the folio you have sent in is 100acres + with shooting rights you'll be fine it it is less than that they will look for more permissions, took me ages to get mine last year, some om my permissions didn't have sporting rights on all of the land, former land commission stuff and all the farms around here are small or some was commanage so i had lots of running around to farmers getting enough permissions!!! I'll have to get at it again soon!!!

Very few deer on the whole place, and you'd think there'd be more. It's good grassland between forestry on the edge of a lake. The only one I saw on it was the one I stalked and spooked the last weekend. Have seen signs elsewhere on the ground too, but no other deer. Apparently the other side of that hill tends to have a lot, so may need to have a word with the landowner there.
