there is a Buddhist retreat centre in West Cork, called Dzogchen Béeara. It's not too far from Castletownbear (just off the C'townbear road to Allihies). It's an absolutely beautiful place and well worht a visit if ye've got the time. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours to get there from Cork city.

They've got a centre in Cork as well. [url-http://www.rigpa.ie/lang-en/find-your-centre/local-centres-ireland/cork.html]Here's a link[/url] with the address.

    Hi Gustafo

I was in the same boat a few years ago when my wife(also Thai) wanted to pray in a temple in Ireland. At the time we went to Birmingham where there is a Temple run by Thai monks (Theravada Tradition).
There is a good few Buddhist groups/Centers around Ireland but very few Practice the Theravada Tradition.
There is a thai- ireland group - http://www.thai-ireland.com/ for thai people living in Ireland and for Irish who are interested in Thai culture.
Buddhist monks from a Thai Buddhist Temple in London visit Dublin sometime to perform the Buddhist Rite and other classes on special days. I know it's not in cork but hope it helps..

    Pat
