    Hey Everyone,

So I'm planning on sending out some HTML/CSS newsletters for a company I'm working for and was looking at turning the newsletter into a kind of blog self hosted as a part of the company website.

The goal for this blog is to create a bit more awareness of the services we provide and show that we have real expertise in the area. It is also very important that the newsletters do not require much time to make or technical knowledge to implement.

The newsletters are coded in a mix of HTML and CSS(as long as there's support for plain HTML it would be suitable) due to how tempremental nature of email clients and idealy to update the blog all that would be needed would be to "copy & paste" the code onto a particular page on the server.

Facebook comes into the equation as we're starting up a facebook page in conjunction with the blog and would like to have a tab on the facebook page where all the blog entries would be listed.

After a lot of research I found that a combination of hosting Wordpress along with the facebook application Networked Blogs would be a great solution. However Wordpress just will not work on our website(website has correct php & mySQL, but I keep on getting the error that no PHP was found) and now I have been trying to find a different solution.

tbh I've been struggling to find any wothwhile information on this and even if you're not sure how to implement it I would appreciate even a push in the direction of a good resource for information.

    Thanks

<s>Just found this guide on how to make RSS feeds

    http://www.labnol.org/internet/create-rss-feed-for-websites/5470/

Going to try it later and then put the feed into networked blogs app and see what happens.</s>

Found this short tutorial on how to make an rss feed for a website and it worked beautifully. Now I have the blog and facebook linked together using the facebook app networked blogs and the rss feed which the video helped me make.

Hope this helps someone in the future which runs into a similar issue as I have. :pac:

Read the last 2 posts in this thread: Email Newsletter

Basically you need to use basic tables, font tags, limited images and more of what are now considered as bad practices. Painful, but blame the awful mixed quality of html rendering in email.

    oh I know!

Already made the HTML emails, took so much chopping and changing.

Just used a mix of templates from campaignmonitor and mailchimp.

    quite pleased with the results
