What exactly have you done so far? Ie. what exactly do you want someone to do? I presume you had to do something to find out what was wrong.

Also where in Dublin are you? Edit....just seen your location on your sig! Doh!

See the picture in post 15 in the link for reference of the parts. I've received the new handle backplate (part 1). I need someone to take out the old backplate, put in the new backplate and then connect it to the locking mechanism (part 5). The exterior handle rod release (part 4) is the part that connects part 1 and part 2

Would there be much room to work in? I've done work on other cars and will be in Dublin tomorrow evening and could have a look if you want.

It'd be new to me but I'm mechanically minded and would try it if I felt I could do it but if you want to get someone who is familiar with the type of car don't be afraid to tell me so, I won't be offended!

It's inside the door, so it's a bit awkward but there is a bit of space. The tricky bit I think is connecting the 2 parts as J1MBO describes in the link

I don't think it's rocket science, and we have a good guide to start with - better than a Haynes manual :D

I just know it's beyond my capabilities as I've very little / no mechanical experience

Appreciate your help - sending you a PM now with my contact details :)
