Hey, I'm looking to get married in a Registary Office in Dublin, was wondering if anyone knows how I go about doing this, and do we have to bring our own witnesses as we wanted to surprise our families as we dont have much money for a big wedding. Thanks.

All the details are here: http://www.groireland.ie/getting_married.htm

You must give the state 3 months notice of your intent to marry. It can take a few months to get the appointment to do this so call as far in advance as you can.

As far as i'm aware you do bring your own witnesses.
