Haven't seen anyone mention disposable latex gloves to keep your hands clean. This is particularly useful if you are on the way in to work.

When you're done pull them off so they are inside out and put them back in your bag to dispose of when you get home. Tossing them on the side of the road makes you a git.

Got a medium one from Wiggle recently. received about 3 days after ordering. great bag.

carry these too. very handy, hate getting hands destroyed if the bike hasn't been cleaned for a while.

    my list is as follows:

    tyre levers x3
    spare tube
    latex gloves
    CI license
    natural confectionary jellies mmmmm
    money
    multi-tool
    SRAM powerlink

need to get a puncture repair kit as i'm all outta patches. can these be got on there own anywhere in bulk?

Cycleways (Parnell St Dublin) sells patches seperately and you can get one large patch which you then cut to size as needed, works out cheaper.

    In addition:

Tyre boot- essential if you rip your sidewall. Park make strong self-adhesive ones that work better than the ghetto solutions.

Zip-ties, superglue and duck tape - if it can't be fixed (badly) with these, it can't be fixed

For a long trip where it might rain (audax-ireland for example) some oil in a 15ml eye dropper is very handy.
