    hi folks,

just a quick question for all of you who game online.

what is the conversational quality like? e.g. is there much of a lag, time delay, muffling of sound etc.???

also does the problems suffered by the player differ from game to game or is it an all round issue??

thanks, doing a bit of research on improving the quality of conversation e.g. buffers and lag for a college project and just wanted to get your input, and also a big thank you to f1ngers for agreeing to let me make this thread!!

I find it pretty good to be honest. Play Battlefield with my bro who lives abroad and we both use the official Sony bluetooth headsets.

Can only hear him clearly if he comes out via the headset. If through the tele he gets lost in the sounds of the game.

    Good luck with ur project!

I find sometimes it's excellent and sometimes it's pants. It's fine at times bu if there's 3 of us in a black ops party sometimes my headset makes a high pitched sound that I can't hear but drives everyone else nuts. Weird. And at times when I'm in a lobby there's a huge delay but as soon as I go into a match it cleans up

I can hear and speak to everyone when I play Battlefield or MAG and it's pretty much always crystal clear and is the same for them hearing me... unless it's a time when my housemate decides to up the pitch on my mic so it sounds like I'm a chipmunk or t'other way round and I sound like Darth Vader :pac:

But other than that I think it's of a high quality sound. Good luck in your research

It depends on the game I think. For example, I have no problem talking with friends in Black Ops; however, trying to talk online in Fifa never seems to work for me.

As has been said, the Sony headset helps a lot. Two people using that, it would sound grand.
