Not really sure where to put this but I will try here!

My daughter will be starting UNI in the UK in October however is spending the summer here in Ireland. A lot of places she goes to offers discounts for students with ID cards - which she doesnt have. Is there a generic card or are they the cards that are given to students by the universities?

She wants to do a bit of travelling around the country during the summer and I have looked at the travel card but they are asking for the UNI address and she doesn't have a confirmed place yet.

Not sure if that makes sense but Im sure you will know what I mean!!

She's not a student, why should she have a student card?

Take a look at the International Student Identity Card (www.isiccard.ie or www.isic.org) - it is recognised in the UK and around the world - the Student Travel Card is not.

If she isn't currently a student she would be eligible for the International Youth Travel Card form ISIC - this is also recognised worldwide.
