    On the recommendation of a friend i watched this horror movie. Completely cliched premise, bunch of 20 somethings car breaks down in the middle of nowhere but there is a creepy house, and er, a cornfield.

    Thats were the cliches end however and my attention picked up.

    Unfortunately i cant go into too much detail without spoiling it but here are some reasons I liked this film:

    * They are the beautiful 20 somethings but they arent stereotyped as the jock, nerd, hot girl, odd guy.
    * Nothing is explained.
    * There is an heir of creepiness about it.
    * not every creepy moment ended with a jump scare
    * Despite the bit in the trailer with the nails, its not a gorefest at all

    Its not a 5 star film but as a horror fan who has become jaded over the last decade, i enjoyed this and my excitement for Silent House is building as a result!

    Looks good. Will get my hands on it and give it watch. It reminds me of Jeepers Creepers, but I guess it's just the Scarecrow in it.

    There was a big Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets zombie reanimation vibe to it, but it was still a decent enough little flick.

    thats exactly who they were, there was the athlete jock guy, the nerdy glasses guy, the hot girl and the other guy

    Is it a dVD or cinema release?
    Looks like Jeepers Creepers eets* Children of the Corn to me. Not a bad thing IMO

    *a typo, but I like it

    Saw it a few weeks back on blu ray and I think it was a new/recent release on that format then, but I don't remember it getting a cinema release over here when it came out at the start of 2010.

    But if you like B-movie horror flicks (which I do), then you will like this.

    I agree. Checked out the trailer and that'd pretty obvious who they are.
    OP were you joking? They were all pretty much 100% in line with the sterotypes.
