    The Henson saga continues...
Former Wales centre Gavin Henson's stay at Toulon is set to come to a premature end after he was suspended for breaching club discipline.

Reports in the French press suggest that the 29-year-old is set to be fired after allegedly getting into a fight with some of his team-mates on Saturday night.

He has zero common sense, he seriously needs to cop on. Hes only been there what a months? Cant see many coaches wanting to take him on anymore hes good but just not worth the hassle.

    It's laughable.

Heard this on the news this morning.

He's on a one year contract, has been let go after a couple of months with Saracens and was let go from Ospreys after years of neglect and time off.

He's not exactly giving himself the reputation of employee of the month material.

Toulon are trying to build a gelactico squad where name is as important as ability, and Henson is a big name in Northern Hempisphere rugby, but I think this might be the final chapter in his career.

I feel bad for the guy, he just can't seem to stay focused on his rugby career. His last chance may be to pull a Cipriani and head south, get out of the papers for a while and focus on his rugby and attempt to get back to his best.

Not too much sympathy from me. Most of it is self inflicted

Cipriani has apprently rediscovered his love of the game story.

Although he did pick up a $5,000 fine for swiping a bottle in a nightclub.

    Bit of an update http://www.planetrugby.com/story/0,25883,16024_6884361,00.html
According to reports in the French press, Gavin Henson was suspended by Toulon for criticising Jonny Wilkinson and fighting with Matt Henjak.

Henson was on Monday "provisionally suspended for one week" for breaching the club's code of conduct, with the suspension believed to be related to an incident at a nightclub following the team's 21-9 victory over Toulouse on Saturday.

French newspaper, L'Equipe, has now reported that the Welshman was disciplined by the club after he "taunted Jonny Wilkinson and clashed with Matt Henjak".

The newspaper went on to say that Henson was also critical of captain Joe van Niekerk who was sin-binned during the Toulouse clash.

There has been no official comment from Toulon regarding the details of the incident.

"Gavin has been suspended for one week and we are conducting an inquiry into the incident to establish what happened and the circumstances before making a decision next week. To be suspended from work for one week is not a decision we would have taken lightly," explained Toulon manager Tom Whitford.

The centre will miss this weekend's game against Perpignan and with only one further match remaining in the regular season, it is likely that the controversial character has played his last match for the French outfit.

Henson will meet with Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal and head coach Philippe Saint-André early next week and it is widely expected that his contract with the club will be cancelled.

The suspension comes as a big blow to Henson's chances of forcing his way back into the Wales squad for the World Cup, with his minimal game time unlikely to be enough to earn him his first Welsh cap since March 2009.

    Taunting wilkinson? seriously?

Ridiculous considering that Henson's alleged behaviour took place after Toulon's defeat of Toulouse of which he started in. Did Henson's action spawn from his relentless Roy Keane-esque criticism of his his and the team's overall performance?

Sadly, I think not. His childish frustration is probably borne out of the fact that Henson is secretly quite pasty and the use of fake tan down in the Med rightly incurs quite a hefty fine, hence breaking Toulon's code of conduct!

Henjak isn't a saint either, himself and Henson make perfect bedfellows.

But taunting Wilkinson? Was is this guy smoking?

All of Johnny's 'practice' and 'dedication' and 'professionalism'.

    Laughable.

Speaking of Welsh players who don't seem to learn from their mistakes:
    BBC wrote:
London Wasps have suspended Wales number eight Andy Powell and former England prop Tim Payne.

The club say they players will not feature during an internal investigation but would not divulge the reason for the bans.

Payne, 31, featured for Wasps in Sunday's 51-18 Premiership win over Leeds at Adams Park.

While 29-year-old Powell was not in the match-day squad and instead watched the game from the stands.

Powell, who joined Wasps from Cardiff Blues in the summer, pleaded guilty to driving a golf buggy while unfit through drink in March last year.

He was banned from driving for 15 months and fined £1,000 as a result.

The 17-time capped Welshman has made 21 appearances for Wasps this season, scoring five points.

Payne arrived at Adams Park from Cardiff in 2003 and has since gone on to play 215 times for Wasps, and has 22 England caps to his name.

Henson's role, style and ability level is exactly what Munster are looking for. Pity he's a headcase.

Nah - Richie McCaw or Dan Carter are what Munster need. Both are looking around after the RWC but Carter is likely to be beyond Munster's finances - sadly.

Do you reckon McCaw is within the financial constraints of Munster?

I can't imagine the Kiwis liking that much.

He probably won't command the same premium as Dan Carter and is making all the right noises about his future after the RWC but, of course, that could be all down to trying to negotiate a better deal to keep him in NZ. There's no doubt about it but there's going to be an almighty exodus from NZ after the RWC - and all the best of them will probably end up at Toulon.
