Why are Celtic and Rangers home games never shown on Sky or ESPN (with the exception of old firm games)?

I'd say its because both clubs only get full houses at Old Firms with the expection of last day title deciders etc. For example both clubs would prob lose a few thousand at the gate if for eg Celtic v St. Jonstone was live on tv in Parkhead as people would expect to win wasilly, but with it not on tv they are more then likly going to get their normal crowds. I'd say thats why. Could be wrong.

I'm sure of the real reason but it might have to do with the other clubs outwith the Old Firm getting more revenue from TV if their game is live. The last 3 television deals have had this clause in it that every club can be on TV at home 4 times a year, excluding Celtic and Rangers who will be on more in the last 5 games. Hopefully the next TV deal changes this and shows more Celtic games at home.

Doubt if we will get more of Rangers or Celtic's home games being shown
