What area are you looking to get into?

A few of the main recruitment agencies have been taken over by Morgan McKinley and a friend of mine got work locally through them.

BDO Recruitment are still around but I think they deal most with financial and accountancy roles.

The CPL Office on the Dock Road seems to be shut up but I'd be surprised if they weren't still recruiting locally from somewhere.

Not sure on the others mentioned on here.

Problem with these agencies is that most of them do not have the decency to reply to you when you apply for a job.

Cheers for the tips everyone! Ill look into those.

Is it ok to try these places if your looking for summer work like? Or do they deal with more professional jobs?

You'd be fairly unlikely to get your summer job through an agency, unless you have skills and experience and were eligble for a 3 month work contract somewhere. But in general most summer job type work is done directly through the employers because it wouldn't be worth their while paying a fee to an agency.
