Bike fitting in Dublin

Anyone got any recommendations for a bike fitter in Dublin? Have tried Adrian Hammond but they haven't got a slot free till June 4th. Could wait for this if they are by far and away the best but would prefer something in the next week or so as I am convinced that my position is causing the aggravation of an injury.

Not much help to you but I'm getting a fit with bikefittingireland.com in May. Serious waiting list with them also. 6-8 weeks I'd say but worth contacting all the same.

Seem to be a professional outfit though from the correspondences I've had with them. Team of 2 - husband and wife I believe. Wife is sports physio and he's an experienced cyclist. Open to correction on these last 2 points though.

Richies Bike Shop (I think..) in Swords, off the Main Street in a small arcade/side street on the same side as Bank of Ireland.
I got fitted there last week by Frank. Very thorough and professional - I was there almost 2 hours. 100 euro.
Haven't got the number to hand but just google it.

Did you try Leo in IrishFit.ie?

Sorted my position out on the bike...

I've heard good reports about fit4bike.com , they operate in Blackrock and also out of Amphibian King in Bray

This is the Adrian Hammond who amjon refers to in the opening post. Was out with them in late February. Well worth it, but then I havent tried anyone else, so can't compare.

+1 got it done recently. Have a look in my cycle log for details of it to see what was involved

Yup, F.I.S.T certified... if I had the cash at the moment I'd use them

Asher in Cycleways has fitted me on my bikes, first one took a couple of hours after that he had my measurements and could fit me on my next bike in half the time.
A sound man to boot. Highly recommended and was around 70 euro for the first bike.

It's pricey and a journey away but there is a place in the North that does Retul fitting.

This is supposedly the creme de la creme of bike fitting and builds a 3d model of how you actually move on the bike. I imagine this would be much better for detecting the source of a niggle than going to someone with a laser level, goniometer and a keen eye.

I haven't had this done myself. Have you looked at leg length and if you have vagus or vargus tilt when pedalling?

I had a Retul fit done in London. It was the best money I've ever spent. Nothing but problems with injuries and previously useless bike fits because they didn't take account of my flexibility problems. Yeah expensive but nothing compared the expense of the several thousand pounds worth of bikes which I couldn't get the best out of as I was always injured.

I didn't know there was a fitter in the North now. I will probably get my other bike position checked out as my position isn't as great on it as it is on the one that I got done.

Anyone have any experience about this guy in Belfast? http://www.retul.com/fitter_detail.asp?fid=475

Have heard great reports about Chris McCann in Derry, but it's a bit of a hike for me.

    Thanks :)

I had a fitting with Leo of IrishFit last Saturday.
He's actually based up North (not sure where) if that's where you are, but he travels down to their store in Dublin for fittings a couple days a week.

You could always give him a ring to see if he can arrange anything: http://www.irishfit.eu/

    Highly recommended btw IMO.

My housemate and I also got fittings with him on Saturday morning, both impressed with the results.

No need to go to Belfast or London for a Retul fit anymore ..... Paul Hicks in Kinetix is offering it now!
