Ford Galaxy

    Hi..we have our third child on the way and we are thinking of moving to a decent sized 7 seater (we will have 3 <4 years so will have 3 child seats).

    Having looked around for a while I seem to think the Ford Galaxy offers best value..thinking of a 07 or 08 for around 20K.

    Has anyone experience of this car or any cars I should be thinking of in this segment?

    Did the research on this six months ago and ended up buying the Galaxy. It's got three full size seats in the second row which is what you need when you're trying to fit three young kids in and still have a big boot for pushchairs and all the other gear. The Zafira doesn't cut it on this count. Some alternatives to consider are the Ford S-Max (Galaxy with a slightly small boot and a third row that will only accommodate small kids) and the Honda FRV (three full size seats in the second row but no third row and the stopped making it five years ago I think).

    I have a '07 Citroen Xsara Picasso, 1.6hdi which has three full sized rear seats and a big boot.
    Lovely car to drive, very comfortable, and with the 1.6 hdi engine, very economical.
    Looking to upgrade to a 7 seater now as we've just had our 4th child, so if anybody is interested, PM me
