Prefabricated homes - Blockhaus etc.

    Hi there.

    I was hoping somebody could give me guidance in this area as I'm completely at sea.

    A relation of my wife lives in Italy and is having serious financial difficulties.

    Her only salvation is that she was given a piece of land a number of years ago and she is hoping to build a home on this land.

    However, she is utterly strapped for cash so the only option, cost-wise, would appear to be a prefabricated home.

    I gather that there are some very large and well established companies in continental Europe that specialise in this area.

    Because we are dealing with Italy - where everything can be a little tricky, to say the least - I would much prefer for this lady to deal with a large, reputable company rather than a local cowboy operation who might take her to the cleaners.

    These are the types of homes we're looking at for us:

    Anybody any experience of this kind of project or any advice generally on the best approach to take?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Somebody was helpful enough to point out that I'd omitted lots of important information.

    The link to the website I referred to is:

    <SNIP>

    The site is in Sardinia.

    Again, any help greatly appreciated.
