    Ok, a multi-themed question

1 - I being going to gym on and off for years but I reckon I'm been wasting my time, a Personnal Trainer is required one who concentrates on Old School/ compound exercises(I hate squat, deadlifts, etc but have come to realise that they are the best and want to learn the correct method)

2 - The name and location of a good Kettle bell class - something for an absolute beginner - a group beginners course would be great - don't want to join a class half way thru a course.

3 - Does an UNderground gym exist in cork? Sandbags, farmers walk, tractor tire, ropes, squat good conditions not important but a good amount of equipment is.

And info would be great - any trainer reading please contact if interested

    Cheers

Don't know about an UG gym - there is a place called Hardcore somewhere near to the city centre - someone else will be able to help with the address.

Not sure that is has all that you want though.

K2C in Blackpool do 3 kettlebell classes a week and they also do three strength and conditioning classes where they flip giant tyres and all that. Its in the north point business park in blackpool and its pay as you go

+1 for K2C. I replied to you other thread saying pretty much the same thing.

They also offer open training where you can pay to just use the gear too.

    Pm'd you.

I'm based in Midleton (but can travel within reason) and offer all of the above as part of my training sessions.

    Brendan.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy good quality kettlebells?

Personally I like the competition KB's from www.buykettlebelldublin.com

All KB's are the same size regardless of weight, so you don't have to keep getting used to different sized KB's as you move up in weight.

Disclaimer: I have no connection what so ever with the company buykettlebelldublin!!

Bought a 12kg Comp from buykettlebells in dublin and then bought one off ebay from a crowd in the north.

The one up the north was the cost of the dublin one even although it was a 20kg cast iron and the dublin one was a competition one .It said the north was epoxy coated but it was just painted black.(Maybe my idea of epoxy is different...I thought it meant rubber coated).Still a kettlebell though.

Also there is a place in little island that will be starting classes next month. It'll be 80 blips for 8 nights over 8 weeks.PM me if you want a phone number.

    Hope this helps.

The part in brackets is right. you didn't know what epoxy was.
it's nothign like rubber. It's basically a very hard plastic. Often applied as a paint. It's just a hard wearing finish, regular paint would chip rather fast.
I imagine all k-bells are expoxy coated or similar

There is a short list of kettlebell sellers here:

    http://irishkettlebellinfo.com/kbbuy.html

There are a few people selling on donedeal, I got some from a guy who isn't there any more, free delivery and the price came in at under €2.40 a kilo. Some of the kettlebell gyms are selling them as well, Wild Geese in Dublin and Mick Kellys gym in Wexford or Waterford.
