Let me know how he gets on.
I'm putting a mono pod on my .223 and filling an old ding that is on it 4 years.

When I have it all done I want to go Tiger stripe Black and green Duracoat.

I might be getting Edi Graef in Kinsale to do it.
Although Edi does not know it yet;)

    Depends on the sprayerman.

    Should not be.
I reckon €75-100 including Duracoat would be a very fair price

You can do it with cans of spray but a proper gun with extractor fan makes the finish much better

    Me either

i used to spray car parts, and I remember who it took a while to get the knack of it.

Much longer than one can of duracoat :D

I think Gunhappy.ie was offering some sort of Duracoating service a while back

    DJ,
I doubt a custom job that is cost effective will look as good as a factory job.

If I were your friend, I would use some wrap.

its not for me fisma its a mate who wants it done..jealous of the paintjob on the mossberg :D
hes not to keen on the tape.plus his gun is a bit rough looking from the years so getting it painted would be 2 birds with the 1 cartridge

I just found this - a home dip kit. It is a bit pricey $99, but worth it?

    http://www.camodipkit.com/patterns.htm

Note: I have never tried it and if it wasn't for google's ability to find stuff quickly, I would have never known it existed.

What kind of gun has your friend? How is the metal surface?

If you do go the route of painting, just ask for samples and see the person's handiwork before.

Is there no-one dipping guns in Ireland?

Hey Tack - a business op?
