    hey lads.

    this is hard to explain....

i have itunes installed and have a very anoying problem.
when i add lets say U2 greatest hits to my itunes libary, when i go back to the location i took it from it will then have 2 seperate folders when i add it

it basically disorganises the folder into 2, is there any way to avoid that?

It might be making a copy of your imported music in a different file format. Are the two folders in your music folder the same (e.g. both mp3) or different (one mp3 and the other say AAC)? If they are different, iTunes is probably converting the songs when you import them. You can change the default file type for iTunes somewhere in the preferences.
If this is the case, and all of your music is mp3, just set the preference to mp3 and no more double files. I may be way off the mark but this happened to me before.
