New Job

I am due to start a new job in a couple of weeks time. There are a couple of problems though.

Firstly the job is paid monthly. What am I expected to do for money for at least a month while I am waiting to be paid. Bills need to be paid, need petrol to get to work and rent also. Do I need to sign off as soon as I start work?

Secondly I am due to move into a new place when I start the job. I heard something about going to see the CWO to help with funds until I am paid? How would I do this as the new place is across the other side of the city? Would I see the CWO in my old area or new one where I don't have a claim? (This is presuming I am right about the CWO).

    Regards
