No Punchline; How to be an Irish Comedian in 32 Easy Steps

To anyone interested here on Boards.ie, I'd like to share a link to my blog No Punchline. it follows me as I try to do a Stand-Up Comedy gig in each of the 32 counties.

I'm halfway there with new posts appearing regularly. So far, I've been applauded in Laois and ignored in Louth, played everywhere from huge venues in Waterford to tiny rural pubs in Longford. Does material that works in Wexford work in Derry? How does the comedy scene in Antrim compare to the scene in Dublin? Every county offers new insights into how comedy works, hopefully by the time I've done all 32 I'll have learned enough to be able to offer something worthwhile to the irish Stand-up scene.

You can click on the tags on the right hand side of the page to find out if I've been to your county yet, and you'll also find contributions from other members of the Irish Stand-Up community under "Fellow Comedians".

It was what was your name as had read the blog all over the place where i hadnt seen your name, i have started from the start and am now on Cavan, very enjoyable I have to say, is there anywhere you advertise your upcoming gigs?will pop along to one....

On a side note i find it hard to navigate the site, its not the easiest user friendly(you may not care about this), also can i suggest an upcoming events style diary where all the acts who contribute can put where there performing as there's a few acts on the "blogroll" that i like that wouldn't mind seeing if i could handily find out where they were performing(if such a site exists elsewhere with a list of upcoming events for all irish comics are, if you could direct me that would be great!)

As fior a directory of Irish comedians, I'm not entierly sure such a thing exists, but you may like this site which has more info than most;
