I mainly use it for music storage and I'm just wondering when one of the drives is full and I want to use the other one, how will it work? Can I keep all the music on one drive install Itunes on the other and contiune the library or will it be 2 seperate I tunes libriaries will what will have to be done?

    Thanks...

I'm not 100% sure cos I keep all my music in one place but i don't know if ITunes can have 1 library spread across two drives, you can however have the program on one drive, 1 library on the same drive and another on the other drive. If you hold down shift while launching iTunes you'll be asked to choose the library you want.

Can you not put on your music on the 2nd drive? Or will your music go over 250gb?

I feel that yes if I move the music to the 2nd drive and just change the library location it may work although I do not want to get those ! marks next to my songs in ITunes.

It might just be a simple case of consolidating the liabrary and treating it as a "normal" hard drive transfer. I don't know why dell decided to put 2 250GB drives in my laptop in the first place it would have been better to just have one 500GB!

it will work, that's the way mine is set up, worst you'll have to do is rescan the library
