Signing on with part-time job

I've been working in this particular job since January, and at first was working 4-5 days a week for a total of about 30 hours. I'm a research postgraduate, so don't have classes or anything to get in the way of working.

However, over the course of the last few months, my hours have been cut constantly, first down to 25, then to 16, then about two weeks ago cut in half once more to 8 hours a week.

My dilemma is that I finish my thesis this month, and have some guaranteed full-time work for May, but after this I have no idea what I'm entitled to.

I now work 2 hours a day 4 days a week, and my understanding is that working more than three days renders you ineligible for JSA, but I have also read that quitting a job stops you from claiming for 9 weeks. Obviously, 72 euros a week is nowhere near enough to make ends meet, so where do I go from here?

If you are working 4 days per week you do not qualify for a jsa. If you leave your job of your own accord you may have up to a 9 week disqualification. You say you a research post grad and writting your thesis. You would need a letter from your college stating that your college course is finished and that you are writing your thesis.
