Dvd Drive Broken

Hi all,

Yes, it is possible. However, you need the exact same model drive and you also need to flash the old serial number into it so the xbox recognises it. The guys in the console modding section are up to speed on this and would gladly talk you through it. Here's a link:

If its out of warranty id say up to you, if not give Xbox support a call and they'll setup a repair for you.

The DVD drive in the Xbox 360 can replaced fairly easily, you can either swap out the circuit board in the DVD drive and put it in a donor drive or extract the dvd key from the current broken drive and write the key to the donor drive, either way the donor drive must be the same make and model hope this helps and if your unsure just send me a PM

what your problem is the rubber belt in your drive that opens and closes the tray has bent out of shape and needs to be replaced
