    Hi guys

I have applied for a position and have been sent an email to do a Prove It online test for Word and also a typing test.

I know the basics of Word but have not used it in any detail in any job I have had in the past 10 years.

I am really nervous about this. I have not opened the email as I want to take a bit of time to practise my typing (been out of work a few months so am pretty rusty).

If anyone has done one of these tests online, I'd really appreciate hearing what to expect.

    Many thanks in advance.

I did one a couple of years ago for the typing anyway and from what I remember it's not too bad. Just do some practice tests online and have a look around word to get the feel for it again.

I think the test might give you some practice time at the start if I remember rightly.

Don't leave it too long to do it though as you might miss out on being put forward for the job.

    Best of luck with it:)

Thank you. I was thinking of doing the test Monday. I only got the email late yesterday evening... I think Monday morning will be fine and give me time to get a bit up to speed.

There is no date specified to have the test done and I know that the position I am going for is not actually going to start till the autumn. I have done a bit of online snooping and know when the new offices will open :)

I want to make sure I know Word inside out... I should be as advanced as possible. I am a bit of a nervous wreck :D
