Hi, I want to embed a zip file on my wordpress site, I have it uploaded with google docs, but can only provide a rather long link, which has to be copy and pasted, I'd rather that the link can just be clicked or that the zip file can show up as an icon and one can download it from there. The zip file is about 60.mb, so most hosting sites don't have the space for it. How do I embed it?

hmmm, got it working, actually is there way a for the zip file download link to pop up a save dialogue box on the wordpress page like you normally get on other websites instead of navigating away to the google docs page?

    Hmm, i don't think so.

And if you've still got the long url, why not use tinyurl or some similar website to shorten it?

You could always just add an image to your post of a zipped file and then hyperlink it to your file?

Eaxctly. Create a folder on your hosting e.g. docs and then link to in your content. To help people you can put the instruction brackets.

e.g. Download instructions.zip (right click save as)

You can also upload file directly to your wordpress site by selecting add new media form your dashboard.

For the link itself you will need the URL but the text that people click on can be anything you like

    Hope it helps
