Loans when you finish college

Hey, I am hoping to get a graduate loan when I finish this summer. I have had some loans over the past 4 years in college and while I have managed to repay them all, my last loan which I have just finished paying off needed to be re-structured as it was over due for repayment. I highly doubt they will give me another loan now since they are so picky about these things. I don't have any other bank accounts so can't apply through another bank, and I don't save in the credit union either. Does anybody have any experience with getting graduate loans after college, and if it is possible to apply through a bank after just opening a new account. The amount I am looking for is about 3k and I have a grantor also.

    Cheers!

Only thing you can do is ask the bank, they are picky but if you have a gaurentor they could well give it, particuarly if you have a job lined up.

Yeah well its not really a job lined up in terms of a career job. I work part time and will be full time in the summer so this is my income. I doubt it will matter what my job is though once I am working and making x amount each week.

yea, if your working and getting in enough to pay the loan it should be grand. Do talk to them about time to repay v purpose of loan also, if its for a holiday they'd be less likely to give the money than if it's for an asset (eg a car) if you want anything over a year to repay it.
