    Hey guys,

I just hada question to ask. I know it may sound silly to some but I don't fly very often and when I do, it's with Aer Lingus. I am currently living in the UK and was looking about flights when I discovered that they are significantly cheaper with Ryanair. I was just wondering what they're like to fly with and if there is anything I'd need to be aware of.

    Cheers!!

You are going to get a fifty fifty response I would say, personally iv flown between Ireland and England 3 times with them and have never once encountered a problem, they even sorted out a misprinted boarding ticket that I had messed up without any fuss

the only real difference you'll notice between aer lingus and ryanair is that there's a bit of a free-for-all with regard to seating on a ryanair plane. and they're stricter than aer lingus with regard to cabin bag size enforcement.

It's a no frills service but it gets the job done grand. Remember that online check-in is, as far as I'm aware, mandatory unless you want to pay loads of extra money on the day.

You have to check in online, no allocated seating and strictly one small piece of hand luggage. No extra camera, laptop bags etc.

Personally I try to avoid them if I can but once you know the story they do the job.
