Darts Exhibitions -- What do you want from them??

    Hi Guys,

Some know me here, more don't, Keith Kilduff obviously my name, from Westmeath but up in college in Dublin and floating between the 2 counties! I just wanted to float a few opinions out there and look for feedback too,

I did an Exbo last Friday with Priestley, Jenkins MVG and VdVoort with Paul Hinks Mcing and at the end of the night and after a few chats with lads it got me thinking......What do people want from Exhibitions?? We had small enough numbers at it and the 4 lads did everything to entertain the crowd, Mvg and VdVoort played a singles game against one another and we also had England vs Holland doubles to keep the crowd going!

Everyone knows Alan Keoghan does a great job in getting the pros to come over for tours and anyone who takes them on is a a credit for wanting to help entertain people for a night, but what would make it unique enough to get more people up and put the bums on seats??

My first couple of Exhibitions that I attended were setup by Wayne Colgan, the Sallynoggin 8 man and the Mardle Manley Baxter one in the snow at Christmas time, both great nights but obviously a huge crowd needed to help with finances of them, which is what happened both nights!

Its fair to say that people attending would love to play the pros, David vs Goliath and all that, but an idea I had in my head was similar to the Winmau Dazzler in England, 8 odd players playing off against one another in a tournament style manner, but add in a big stage, MC etc and I supposed the costs would go up as far 10,000euro maybe?? Then youd have to sell 500 tickets at 20e or 400 at 25e just to break even and are you going to do that in this climate??

Anyway if anyone has any ideas or wants to make a comment based on what Ive put up there please do, going forward I want to do more exhibitions with players but at the same time you want to give the crowd something different from time to time also?

Chat to you all soon guys, take care, Keith
