Need volunteers for non-profit Irish website for Chronic Illness

    Hi everyone.

    I'm hoping to find someone who really cares about chronic illness, be it depression, chronic fatigue, HIV or anything other condition which has profound impact on peoples quality of life.

    Chronic Ireland is a new community website with a simple goal: to bring people together so that nobody has to suffer alone.

    We hope to achieve this by helping to connect people to support groups, with the community forum being the central hub for everyone who wishes to join in.

    Your duty as a volunteer contributer will be to facilitate the sharing of information, emotional support, and friendly banter in the community forum.

    No medical expertise is required, in fact all contributers will be discouraged from dishing out medical advice. You could do this work from home, in your own time, and spend as little or as much time as you like.

    We currently have a small team, putting everything in place for the official launch on 1st May 2011. We have a small Yahoo community who are starting to migrate to the new forum as I write this.

    What do you see these people doing exactly? Moderating the forums?

    Hi Simona,

    Yes, I'm hoping to get a few people together who will moderate the forums, but also to correspond with other support groups, and possibly write articles or notices on the main website.

    Everyone already on the team so far has a chronic illness of some sort. It would be tremendously helpful to have a few more people involved.
