Hello there, I'm just after finishing my first year of Multimedia (Level 7) in WIT. I enjoyed it, with the majority of lecturers being very good and helpful, and nearly all people doing the course being sound out.

While enjoying doing the course for most of the year, I don't think it's for me. When finishing school I thought something in the IT sector was for me but I'm finding nearly every one of the subjects boring at this stage. I hate Music Skills with a passion and have no interest in it whatsoever! I hate programming (didn't have a clue what it was when I applied). The only aspects of the course I liked very much were Communication Skills, Critical Thinking & the Photography part of Graphic Design (hate the drawing).

Anyways, I've been considering changing the course next year and have been looking at the CAO site for other courses in WIT and Hospitality Studies caught my eye. It seems exactly the kind of thing I would like, and everything about it on the WIT site appeals to me.

I see 2010 was the first year of it being here. Can anyone shed some light for me as to how it was, and would you recommend it?

    Thanks!!

id say your probably the only person who would pick those as their favourites. multimedia always sounds hella gay though compared to ssd or IT.

why not contact the course leader of hospitality and find out what kind of stuff they do and see if it appeals to you. most people doing any course are going to say its good or interesting, if not they wouldn't be doing it.

I know, I'm the only person that I know, that genuinely likes them :D

I did, I actually had a great conversation with him in person and it sounded like something I'd like very much! But of course he is going to make it sound like Sunshine & Lollipops, which is why I wanted a students opinion of it :)
