Cessation of shareholder

    Maybe someone can help!. I am involved in a Company and want to get out as getting no return and will sign on. There are 10 Shareholders with 1 €1 each. What happens with my Share. The other Shareholders are unsure as they don't want anyone else to have 2. What form is required to cancel my Share. I need to get this done asap so I can prove to the Social I am not a Shareholder. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

    Hi

    The company can buy back or redeem the shares provided it has sufficient reserves to do so. It could also hold the share as "treasury share".

    Alternatively you could arrange to have the share held jointly by the other 9 shareholders.

    What is required is a stock transfer form and notification of the change in shareholding on the next annual return.

    Thanks for that. Can you tell me where the stock transfer form is sent. I understand there may be a form SD4 to be sent to the Revenue but not sure about the Stock Transfer. Ta
