    Hiya,

I know we are in a Recession but can anyone tell me please if there is any decent construction jobs on at the moment? I'm an industrial plumber and sick of sending off CV's to Mechanical contractors. Their websites gives no indication of any current work they are doing and definetly no vacancies but surely they must have some work on, ( I presume a lot is subbed out, but I don't have a C2 and am not interested in getting one)

I'm based in the west of the country and for all I know there could be a site close by where there is a job going. If anyone knows of any sites or of any mechanical contractor looking for a plumber with industrial experience I would appreciate it if ye could let me know.

    Thanks :)

I think the lack of replies kinda answers your question :(

Mate there is work going on in Intel. I know your out west but its worth a look. Try HA o Neill/ Jones engineering...they are the main contractors on the fab 10 de-instal. Its worth giving them a try because you never know your luck!

    Thanks John,

Have CV in with them but no joy, worked with them nearly 10 years ago, good company to work for but heard they laid off a load of regular fellows last year. thanks though for that :)

There were lads let go from intel in the last couple of years, but that was in an unrelated field to the de-install work.
I would keep checking regularly if u know any of the contarctors up there, there is work going on there and a lot more to come.
