Help! Ideas for a 50s/60s/70s outfit

I've been invited to a wedding this summer and it's fancy dress - the invite says the theme is the decades of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Obviously it's still a wedding so I want to wear something nice (by nice I mean severely fabulous ) but I don't know where to start. I don't even know what decade to start looking at.

I definitely want to wear a dress and I want it to be comfortable; it's a garden wedding so there'll be lots of sitting and standing outdoors and I don't want a chafing dress.

Any ideas at all at all? I'm a bit lost and I'd like to start getting ideas soon so I'm not stuck when the wedding rolls around!

Are you based in Dublin?? If so, why not try get an actual dress from those decades? Horse& June on Drury Street is the only one I can think of right now, but there's lots of people on this forum that love vintage, so they can offer some other suggestions of places to go?

For example I love the middle dress here, perfect for a wedding!!

Actually, you can see the reflection of Jenny Vander in the window, that's another vintage store you could try!
