Im 21 full license and 3 years no claims, with a 1.5, My dad currently drives a 2.0 with full license and not sure how many no claims but a decent amount.

Ive heard of 3rd party extensions that would allow me to drive his car.
How do I go about getting this policy.
Does he take out the policy or do I???
I did a search on boards previous thread but couldnt find an answer.
    Thanks.

YOu could be added as a named driver to his policy - he needs to contact his insurer with your details and request a quote.

You need to ring your insurance provider and have it added to your policy, it may cost ya a abit, although I get it as standard with Quinn so ya might already have it

I can't remember which company it was but when I was getting quotes for my insurance some companies had an engine limit on the 3 rd party extension.

Aviva do 3rd party extensions on their 3rd party fire and theft policies, which is what I have

Yeah if you go with Quinn you'll be able to drive it no bother but remember you'll be driving his car third party.

Grand Thanks for the help. The limit I beleive it 2.5 litre.

Im guessing their is no open policy for 21 year olds with full license.
So 3rd party extension or named driver is only options?

With Quinn not giving quotes anymore, does anyone know of any company that offers the 3rd party extension?
