So here we are again, World Championships 2011.
Who do u fancy to be the Crucible King come the 2nd of May.

Higgins- 11/2 Can he recover and put the recent allegations behind him and claim another World title?
Selby- 6/1 Is this his year, a nearly man for the past few seasons, can he finally win the one he wants this year. Good experince of Sheffield now might stand to him.
Ronnie- 7-1 Which Ronnie will we see this time around. Big price for a man of his raw talent, could wipe anyone on his day but I feel he can lose to anyone too if he is off.
Robertson- 9/1 Can he win back to back titles? Thats the question. I think Trump will beat him in the first round.
Williams, Ding, Murphy, Allen, Carter, Dott, Trump?

So who do u fancy and why? Still trying to decide myself.
One of the above or can see one of the outsiders making a run in it like Martin Gould last year and maybe even winning it? Cant wait for the action to start.

higgins for me is favourite and i think he will win. if he doesn't then it will be williams or selby.
i think judd trump will surprise a few and may even knock out roberstson. no first time winner at the crucible has ever defended the title. as far ronnie, its like you say which one turns up , on his day he can beat anyone

Snookerbacker is tipping Williams, and I may do so myself.

My pick of the year is slight outsider Mark Williams. He has been knocking on the door for the last two seasons and only for coming up against a rampant O' Sullivan who seems to instantly up his game substantially whenever he meets Williams or Higgins he might have won it last year. The match between Williams and Ronnie last year was the match of the tournament in my book. I know Lee kicked him out of the China Open but he was and is in superb form. He knocked in four centuries and still lost 5-4. He has the temperament and experience to win it and his cue action is as good as it has been in years.

John Higgins is always a danger but he was out of sorts in the China Open and got beaten by Davis last year. I know he won the UK but odds are too short for me. Also he has a tough 1st round draw against Stephen Lee who could catch him on the hop. ALso Higgins is a notoriously slow starter. Higgins & Robertson could be the big casulaties of round one.

Selby is a definite candidate and in my view is on the handy side of the drawer. I think an each way on him is a banker but odds are not great at 6 to 1.

An Ronnie well who knows - depends which one turns up. Has had a miserable season - mutterings of retirement again over the last few days but in my opinion at 6 to 1 he is way too short to have a punt on. He should be above 10's. He has the talent but I'll eat my hat if he wins it as Ronnie has to be in a perfect state of mind to win it which evidently he is not.

Trump was impressive in the China Open and is definitely one to watch. Thinking of sticking a few on him to win the quarters (not sure of odds) and have put money down to be the furthest progressing qualifier at 7 to 1. As to him going the whole way im not sure. He has very little experience in the crucible and its a place that can eat you alive when things go wrong. I think he will beat Robertson though in the 1st round and should make it to the quarters.

So in summary my picks are:
So Mark Williams E/W & to win
    Mark Selby E/W
    Trump to win quarter 1
Trump to be firthest progressing qualifier
Outside bet of Stephen Lee to win E/W

stephen lee could do well , he supposed to have played brilliantly against mark williams in the china open, one of the matches of the season.
also dott is an excellent match player and will be tough to beat as usual.
