    Hi,

Is it only me that thinks that A) the banks (AIB in my case) give you basically very low interest rates on savings but then B) when they do give you something twice a year the Government wade in and take 27% of what you should get?

This dirt tax has gone from 23% to 25% to 27% in recent times and is a bit rich considering that i have paid a high rate of income tax on this money already.

Then goverment stamp duty on Visa card another €30.00 this month .. whats with that?! And some other stamp duty think its only €5 on each current account... seems to me we are getting creamed and taxed on the double, almost punished for saving a few quid.. will it be back to underneath the mattress?!:)
