Hi lads. At the risk of putting this in the wrong place.......

Bought a munster top on e-bay. it was the last red one canterbury did b4 the switch to adidas, worn for first heineken cup win.
Anyway, it's made in thailand, 100% polyester, has the ccc logo on the white button, has a tiny black canterbury tag -finger nail size- between the collar and back of the top. finally, on the inside back in blue is printed the canterbury logo and size.

just wanna double check before leaving feedback.

    Sounds real.

    Should look like this

I think the last season they wore it was either 2005/06 or 2006/07. I know they wore it in 05/06 when they knocked Leinster out of the Heineken Cup :(

would post a pic if i knew how!!!
it's very like the one in pic except there's no canterbury tag just a print in blue with the size and has a tiny canterbury tag to the wearers right at neck level

The Canterbury tag first appeared on shirts sold just before the final. If i recall correctly the final was the first time Munster wore the updated logo with CCC canterbury instead of just CCC. It was funny because you could tell who just bought the shirts for the big game.:D

the one in that pic is the one i bought. However, main difference is that in the right chest its the 'ccc' logo -no canterbury underneath. and the black size tag isn't there just a blue print stating the size with a tiny black ccc tag to the wearers right. I'm curious about the 'made in thailand ' label down with the washing instructions. i've other canterbury stuff made in various places but not there!
tbh I'm smelling a serious rat here given the differences with the sellers original pic too:mad:

Even the players tops back then were a cotton mix dont think any were polyester until adidas took over.

Are you sure about this? I bought one earlier in the season and I thought it was the one used in the final that year.

I thought the jerseys were cotton up to that point and the polyster technical jerseys came later?

The only difference is the logo. I remember because one of the lads was branded a "bandwagoner*" when he showed up in it. Initially claimed he bought it at the start of the season, but admitted he bought it before the final when faced with the evidence.

Canterbury temex jerseys are mostly polyester and have been available since 2005. My 06 players jersey is at my parents and I'll check the next day I'm over, but I'm sure, but could be wrong, that they were the ones still made in NZ.

edit. Munster, also had a range of 100% polyester supporters jerseys at the time, but I'm not sure if the main "spider-man" kit was one. Ahh when times were good and I spent far too much money on rugby ****e.

*This was just to piss him off and I actually hate the term when it's used seriously.
