Why does an electric car need a temperature gauge?

I'd always assumed one of the advantages of electric was that you didn't have all the waste heat generated by IC.

    Because it's hot Hot HOT!

A phantom must weigh nearly 3 tonnes. It's going to have a range shorter than it's wheelbase.

I wonder if the V12 CD/MP3 is on the options list :D

Love the charge point on the car... Pretty cool

Was reading about this a few weeks ago, the range is only about 100 miles. But it is supposed to be absolutely, 100%, silent; like you aren't moving at all.

That's as good as a Leaf.

I would have thought Phantoms aren't long range machines anyways. Anyone that can afford a Phantom would probably fly 100 miles in their helicopter.

Phantoms are for arriving at events in style or for spinning around to the country club in, not for trekking across the country. That my view anyways, there's definitely a market for a shorter range Phantom, especially if its so refined.

Phantoms are very, very cheap to own and run compared to helicopters.

They ALL suffer from batteries overheating. That's why some of these are a few years off IMHO. It's sometimes mentioned when you hear about these vehicles, but not nearly enough.

True, I just don't think a 100 mile limit would bother many owners.

Me neither, particularly if it's even only a little more refined. Were I in the market, i'd find it hard to settle for an IC-powered one knowing that electric was available.
